App
The DTCO Simulator is provided in the form of an app. It can be used on a PC, tablet or smartphone.
Web portal
All data is stored decentrally and can be accessed via a web portal. For example, the organizers of a virtual trucking company can retrieve all the data of their drivers and vehicles, or in multiplayer mode, someone can take on the role of authorities and inspect the trucks.
Cards
Depending on the card, there will be different functions. The cards will be available at least in virtual form. But physical cards are also being considered. For the simulation, there will be cards similar to the real model. In addition to the driver card, there will be company, workshop and authority cards.
Real device gadget
In addition to creating the app, we also plan to release a real device equipped with a display, card reader, and possibly a printer to match its real-world counterpart.

Why a DTCO simulation?
Euro Truck Simulator is a great software for virtually driving a truck. The graphics have become very realistic, and many functions of a truck are simulated, such as the air pressure system and the increasingly popular assistants like emergency braking, lane-keeping, and distance assistants.
What is definitely still missing is a realistic sleep system and the recording of driving data. This would bring the simulation even closer to reality. Since this feature has not been communicated as planned by SCS so far, we don’t want to wait any longer and have started developing our own implementation. Our simulation includes the following features:

What is a DTCO?
The DTCO (Digital TaChOgraph) is a device that must be installed in commercial vehicles to record driving data and working hours. It was introduced to protect the driving personnel and also for traffic safety.
Functions of a digital tachograph:
- Recording of driving and rest times
- Recording of speed data
- Storage of driving data

The DTCO ensures a legally compliant recording of all necessary data and helps companies and drivers adhere to legal regulations to avoid consequences.
